The previous TiVo DVR with HD capabilities only offered up to 20 hours of recorded HD programming (or 180 hours standard Definition) , the HD XL, on the other hand, offers more than 7 times that; a whopping 150 hours at a time. So you can store more and not have to worry about having to delete shows you still get a chance to check out due hard drive space constraints. You can also record 2 shows at once while watching a third previously record show. The TiVo HD XL can also connect to the Internet, using your home network, to deliver movies, music, photos, and more, right to your TV.
The TiVo HD XL also sports a 1 TB (terabyte) hard drive, THX certification for top of the line Audio & Visual elements, Dual tuners and HDMI.
