COUSIN: Nate Dogg Was On Life Support. Stroke Caused By Poor Eating Habits
Keep with the prayers its worse than we thought.
After being hospitalized nearly two weeks ago, new information is now coming about the actual condition of Nate Dogg and what exactly might have caused his second stroke in less than a year.
Although there has been news floating around that the singers prognosis has generally been pretty positive E! News is reporting according to his cousing Nate Dog was on life support with not only a breathing but feeding tube in his mouth.
“He has suffered another stroke from his bad eating habits and unhealthy lifestyle,” says Donald Smith, Dogg’s cousin and a fellow emcee who goes by the moniker Lil’ Half Dead. “All we can do now is pray for him.”
SIDENOTE: Lil’ Half Dead? What an ominous name no?
According to the report The singer, whose real name is Nathaniel Hale has since been taken off life support but still needs a feeding tube.
“He was making excellent progress with his recovery from the first stroke,” said Nate Dogg’s manager Rod McGrew. “This is an unfortunate setback. We welcome all prayers in support of Nate’s recovery but we would appreciate privacy.”

This happens sometimes. Something similar happened to my father.
The first stroke is caused by a lack of blood-flow to the brain. More than likely the veins going up the neck were blocked, so they do an operation to clear up that problem.
But once the veins open up, you find more leaks and you have another stroke.
In the case of my dad, he was in a coma for nearly two months before coming out. He had a minor stroke, had the operation to replace the vein, was doing great and then bang, another stroke that made him worse off than when he started.
It’s a long hard road back, but it IS possible to make a full recovery. That fact that Nate Dogg has lived this long is a good sign.
damn
