Was 50 Cent’s Response To Kanye’s LAX Meltdown A Ploy To Exhume Beef, Promote New Album?
With both artists scheduled to relase their follow up projects in December, one might think so.
Given 50 Cent’s contentious or perhaps friendly rivalry with Kanye West, it was unclear how Fif would react to West’s recent arrest following his spazz out on an overzealous paparazzi posted up at LAX earlier this month. 50 told WENN:
“I hope he’s all right… He’s gonna pay for that. I hope everything works out for him because, away from you having to pay your bail money and then you have to go through your legal fees and you have to go through the civil trial.”
When asked about his approcah to such situations, 50 had this to say:
“At some points it’s uncomfortable… but now you have to accept it. Everyone has a cell phone… and can take pictures,” he said. “I guess he (West) wasn’t in the mood that day. It’s not the first time a star has got into it with the paparazzi; I think they actually look for it.”
In true 50 cent fashion however, the smiles turned into venom when he instead chose to mock Kanye at show in Albany, New York.
MTV.com is reporting the flip side, saying 50 Cent mimicked West’s new song “Love Lockdown,” on bended knee while mocking the lyrics. The franetic crowd soon joined in a collective chorus of “f**k Kanye West,” while sporting middle fingers around the venue.
Ahhh there’s the 50 we know and love. The only thing that I wonder is if this type of Dr. Jekyl/ Mr. Hyde skitzophrenic response is a marketing ploy by 50 to once again exhume the media frenzy surrounding the fabricated beef surrounding from their synchronized previous releases. Although they won’t drop on the same day both are planning their follow up projects in December. Oh that slick kid 50. Always thinking…and promoting.

If they want to have real beef and musical caos, 50 needs to steal one of Kanye’s beats and rhyme on it like I know 2Pac would’ve done if he was still around. I’ve never seen a rapper waste great beats and production with their generic rapping style like Kanye does.
it dont get more generic that 50 imma gangster swag thats been done a million times before. nigga just be rewording Pac old shit.
I guess 50 is a firm believer in the “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” philosophy. That’s how he got in the game, by stirring up beef and talking trash about established artists. He shouldn’t have to do that every time he has a new project coming out. It’s juvenile and actually pretty sad that he feels that he still has to do that in order to create a big buzz for himself. Yeah it WAS smart because it worked but now it’s just old.
Do you find it interesting however that both their albums AGAIN are dropping in the same month?
50 does come from the eminem school of publicity …
50 is trash thas why he gotta hype his albums by banging on one of the ressurectors of hip hop…i think tha nigga secretly wants to be like Ye. but being “gangsta” is so much “realer”….yeah right.
