Since today is an extremely slow news day I figured I’d use this as an chance to tell readers about something new we are gonna try here on HN.

As many of you know Lil Wayne recently sold a million records in the first week for his album Tha Carter III. It’s also common knowledge that one of the main reasons he was able to do this is because of sites like Highbrid Nation that were constantly distributing his new music to his fans, creating a huge hype for his album’s release. And as happy as I am to help the little gargoyle reach a million, I’d get much more joy out of giving readers of HN the same type of exposure.

So this is how it is going to work. If you are a rapper or a singer who would like to have your music featured on HN, all you have to do is get at me. Just email me the track you want featured as an MP3 or through a link on ZShare (I’d prefer the later as it would save me some time) along with a picture that you want used on the post and I’ll hook it up. Feel free to also provide a short bio or any other info also.

I’ll likely be dedicating a whole day to submitted songs each week (haven’t decided on which day of the week though yet). All I ask is that you do not overwhelm me. Only send you hottest tracks and please do not send me more than one song a week.

So let’s review.

1. Only submit one song a week.
2. Only submit your best stuff (we have a rep to uphold here )
3. Make sure you include a picture along with a short bio (where you are from, who do you work with, you label, ect)
