What up Nation.  I’ve been thinking about increasing my savings a little and making a little room in the apartment so I’ve been placing a few pieces of my old DJ equipment on Craig’s List.  (BTW…Holla at me if you’re interested in some CDJ-800′s mint condition.)  That’s what ordinary people do when they need some cash, that or have a garage/yard sale.

Dame Dash?  Well we already told you last week he’s mired in a financial slump so he’s decided to SELL BACK what was believed to be his most prized acquisition in Pro-Keds brand back to its former owner the Stride Rite Corp.  Dame had been in a several year long mission to transform the traditionally low-budget 60 year-old sneaker company into a fly hip type powerhouse.  Unfortunately for him and probably fortunate for today’s very confused and colorful youth he wasn’t succesful.

“It was just a matter of timing,” Stride Rite spokeswoman Debra Fernandes said yesterday. “We just wanted a new direction.”

No word on the financial details but I would have to imagine given his current slump and his alleged two his properties in foreclosure he probably was fleeced and had to sell for a loss.  Dame fans can still however hold out hope that his and his wife, Rachel Roy’s joint venture with Jones Apparel takes flight.  There’s only but so many times you can beat a man down.  I’m rooting for him though, although as Kanye pointed out he’s an “asshole” he’s a black business hustler… he’s just not very succesful at it right now.  Maybe he can borrow some money from Jay-Z…ahhhh nevermind.  Shout to miamimarcus for the tip.
