feelin’ the track, in regards to the president if you listen to the track they are clearly referring to Obama and speaking to his possible election to the top spot.

It was a joke. I’m aware they aren’t talking about Bush. The hook does however use the present tense (is) and not the future tense (will be).

We may not want to call obama prez until he wins or a lot of people may get caught with some egg on their face.

…Or is the “president” just a name for a whip?

True that, they shouldn’t count their eggs before they are hatched, but its obvious that Obama is clearly is the man that the “African-American” community wants. Time will tell!
