Lawrence Fishburne Joins The Cast of ‘CSI’

Posted by Mike "Evorgleb" Belgrove

Yet another star makes the move from movies to TV

It seems to be a trend in that stars who have made there name in movies are making the jump to television. Up until recently this would appear to be a step backwards but with former movie stars like Charlie Sheen making crazy cream on TV ($825,000 Per Episode), being on the small screen doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. Most recently we told you about Angela Bassett going to ER. Looks like another big star also is prepping to jump back into ‘the matrix”.

Highbrid Nation faithful miamimarcus sent me word that Lawrence Fishburne will be joining the cast of CSI this upcoming season. Fishburne will be playing “a forensics scientist with a secret”. Though the character description sounds a little goofy, Fishburne will surely add some serious star power to a series which already pulls in 17 million weekly viewers.

As the story goes CSI producers were asked by CBS who would be on the top of thier “dream list” of actors to bring to the show. Without hesitation producers picked the Oscar nominated, Tony and Emmy award winning Lawrence Fishburne (Can’t say I blame them).

No word on how much Larry is getting for the CSI gig but I’m sure CBS dropped some serious dough for Morpheus.
