ESPN E:60 To Profile How Former Duke Hoopstar Became Barack Obama’s Personal Assistant

Posted by Juan

From failed NFL career to Obama “Body Man”

Reggie Love

Last night on ESPN I caught a teaser commercial for a their prime time News magazine, E:60. Tomorrow night (Aug 19) at 7PM ET Rachel Nichols will profile former Duke University football and basketball player Reggie Love and how he used his education and intelligence to overcome his stalled athletic career to become Senator Barack Obama’s personal assistant.

In researching I found out Love actually tried out for the Packers and Cowboys unsuccessfully in 2004 and 2005 and decided to take a gig on Obama’s then small senatorial staff. Loves’ ascension to Obama’s “body man” actually started in the mail room. Should be interesting….so be sure to check it out.
