Jamaican Sprinter, Usain Bolt Wins 100M Gold Medal
Fastest Man mean mugs for the cameras as he crosses the Finish Line
They say the winner of the Olympic 100 meter dash is the “Fastest Man” on the planet. Although its been disputed before I doubt anyone will question Usain Bolt’s dominance in the event. “Lightning” Bolt broke his own world record and broke down any comp on Saturday capturing the Olympic 100m title in 9.69 seconds, dropping the old mark of 9.72 he set May 31 in New York. This result unlike the previous however, was never in doubt as Bolt was body lengths ahead, giving him time to mean mug, pose for cameras and fans and begin the celebration early.
When asked about the world record he responded “I wasn’t really worried about the world record. I didn’t even know I got the world record until I did my victory lap… I don’t really know (how fast I can go). I even could be 9.60. I can’t really say. People have been saying I could run 9.60 but I haven’t seen the replay so I can’t comment.” Perhaps Bolt’s only regret was that American Tyson Gay, who ran a wind-aided 9.68 to win the US trials, failed to qualify for the final posibly due to an injury, placing fifth in his semi-final heat.
The win marked Jamaica’s first men’s gold medal in the 100m in the nation’s storied sprint history.”This means a lot to my country and it means a lot to me,” Bolt said. Trinidad and Tobago’s Richard Thompson took home a very distant second running a 9.89 while Walter Dix of the USA, the NCAA 200 champ this season for Florida State, took third (9.91). Fellow country man and resident shit talker Asafa Powell choked and finished 5th.

For real, if you seen his first round run, its was no way that he would be beat. This dude pretty much stopped running with 50 M left, dropped his hands and was looking around like “Who want it?!?”
This cat could break Michael Johnson’s World Record in the 200 also that would be huge.
LAAAWDDDDDDD! BOLT to di flipping WWWWWWOOOOOOOOOORRRRRLLLLLLDDDDDDDDD! Oh and yas it is possible for him to beat M.J record and i’m looking forward to that!
The best thing about Lightning Bolt is his attitude. He’s not all tense, he’s relaxed and he runs like we did when we were kids at the playground.
THAT GUY WAS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING
UNBELIEVABLE
He was off the chain in that 100M he definitely was in a class of his own. As far as the 200M record by Johnson, come on ya’ll lets not get to beside ourselves. No one has run remotely close to Johnson’s 19.32 this year at all. Everyone must remember Bolt was running these low times in the 100M a few times already this year alone. The 200M record NO WAY!
incredible!!! could’ve ran a 9.5something if he ran through the tape. dude is unbeatable, just hope ain’t no STEROIDS (ALA BEN JOHNSON) running for him!
savage plain and simple
yea….
