TERRORISM? Man Carrying Cyanide Found Dead 2 Miles from Democratic Convention Site

Posted by Juan

FBI & Homeland Security “SAY” their not investigating terorrism. Was Obama a Target?

Burnsley Hotel

ABC News 7 in Denver is reporting that a Ottowa, Canada man was found dead in a downtown Denver hotel room in possession of one pound of cyanide. YES A POUND.  Although, the medical examiner’s office could not confirm or deny if Saleman Abdirahman Dirie (29) who had been dead for at least 6 days committed suicide, it is confirmed however that he did have a history of mental illness.

A very unusual story yes but you’re probably asking why I’m reporting it.  Well interestingly enough the The FBI and Homeland Security are investigating.  Why?

Well as Malcolm (Highbrid Nation Since 2008) pointed out to me this morning, the man’s body was found inside Room 408 at The Burnsley Hotel, which is two miles away from the Pepsi Center, where the Democratic National Convention will be held from Aug. 25-Aug. 27 and 3 miles from Invesco Field at Mile High where Barack Obama will dramatically accept the nomination.

Is this a case of terrorism?  If so who is the target?  “You have a suspicious substance that was found in a hotel room in conjunction with person being a foreign national, and we have a lot of questions and that is why we are assisting,” Kathy Wright from the FBI Federal Task Force told The Denver Post.

Although the Burnsley Hotel is NOT on the list of hotels where delegates are staying but a credible online death threat was posted in July by a man with a similar name.

The blog called for Islamists to kill Christians in Somalia. The blog was described as a Muslim who condemn Christians.”Having the bible in one hand, and a bread in the other hand, is not a correct thing! Kill Them , Kill them, Kill them, that is my massage!” read the posting by Abdirahman Dirie on the ‘Solmali’s for Jesus’ Blog.

It was not clear if the blogger, Abdirahman Dirie and Saleman Abdirahman Dirie are the same person but hell it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume so.

The FBI and Homeland security are currently not publicly  labeling the incident labeled to terrorism, but if its not then why was was a displaced Somali who resides in Canada doing in a hotel room alone in Downtown Denver on the eve of the DNC?  Its the summer time so don’t tell me he was an African skier. And even if he did by some chance have some legitimate reason to be in Denver and have some odd reason to be playing with Cyanide why would he have THAT MUCH OF IT and keep it in a bottle in a hotel room?!

And therein is the point… there is no legitimate reason why a person would cross the border and hold up in a hotel room with a pound of cyanide.

He may have been a lone nut, or just a troubled radical, but if the basic facts of this story are true than I think we have possibly avoided a major catastrophe.

Agreed and we may never know the target.

      • malcolm says:

based on the amount he had, I think the target was probably Obama’s outdoor speech.

Access to the convetion floor requires passes and multiple layers of security. There really is very little chance that someone could walk off the street onto the convention floor.

Obama’s outside speech on the last day of the convention, however, is a semi-public event. While there will be security, it’ won’t be as much as the convention floor.

The question, in my mind, is whether the target would have been Obama himself or the people coming to see the speech.

  2. nothing has been avoided yet, they’ll be more, watch out that day please

It didn’t appear to be part of a terrorist cell but you never know. He obviously was sloppy in his actions and literally killed himself. But hopefully that increases security instead of relaxes it.

    Speaking of terrorism:

George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).

George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.

And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.

Many people know what Bush did.

And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.

    Bush was absolute evil.

Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.

    Bush is a psychological prisoner.

Bush has a lot to worry about.

Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.

In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memory so it never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off of the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.
