First Look: Nas and LL Cool J On Cover of 20th Anniversary Source
Guest photographer Spike Lee gets all up in hip hop’s face.
Wow the Source has been around that long. I had no idea…that it was still being published. However it has indeed made it to the big 20 and to celebrate they have brought in Spike Lee as guest photographer to shoot some of hip hop’s most iconic figures. I’m not sure how many cover there will be all together but I’ve managed to get my hands on the Nas and LL Cool J cover.
Honestly I don’t think either cover is that great. Just close up head shots. Nas insists on having that stupid @$$ part in his hair and LL seems to be opting with a more purple lipstick these days, maybe in an effort to bring out his eyes more.
I hope that when more covers to show up with the likely usual suspects (Jay-Z, T.I., ect) that they will be a bit more interesting.
