Funnyman Bernie Mac Dies At Age 50
Complications from pneumonia led to the “king of comedy”’s untimely death
RIP Bernard Jeffrey McCullough aka Bernie Mac 1957 - 2008
Earlier this week on Highbrid Nation we reported on rumors that Bernie Mac had passed. In reality the comedian was alive and hospitalized while battling pneumonia. Unfortunately rumor has become fact as Highbrid Nation regretfully announces that Bernie Mac has passed away this morning from the very case of pneumonia that sparked the rumors earlier this week.
Highbrid Nation’s heart goes out to the family. Bernie will surely be missed and respected as one of the funniest comedians of all time.
Fans will be able to catch Bernie in two more films that were completed before his death, Soul Men with Samuel L. Jackson, which will be released this year, and Old Dogs with Robin Williams, due out next year.

I actually cried when I found out, It was a point in time when I thought Bernie was the funniest man on the planet…you do know how much cheeks I got charming women w/ his lines???? I still can’t believe it. I can still see him in his 70’s like Redd Foxx cursin people out….& what’s strange is Robin Harris, who I use to say Bernie got some of his material from died & a early age as well…sad w/e.
