Lethal Weapon 5 Reportedly In Prelim Stages

Posted by Juan

Gibson and Glover on board but nothing signed as yet

Lethal Weapon 5

According to a report from TrackingB.com a script for the fifth installment of the Lethal Weapon franchise is in the developmental stages.  According to the movie blog, Shane Black who wrote the original flick approached the franchise’s producer, Joel Silver and the two brainstormed some ideas for a preliminary script.

Although no contracts have yet been signed the two principal characters, Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are reportedly on-board.

Here’s an excerpt from the post describing the rumored plot line:

“We hear this time homicidal Riggs (Mel Gibson) is about to retire, but pulls Murtaugh (Danny Glover) out of retirement to solve one final case, before they both officially head off into the sun…”

I’d love it but that’ll probaly ruin the franchise. Where the hell is Bad Boys 3? They gotta pull two more out, come on Will and Martin.

A Bad Boys 3 would require not only Martin Lawrence and Will Smith but director Michael Bay and he’s kinda occupied with the Transformers franchise these days.
