Well stated. I've been checked. It wasn't about race but I can see how one can perceive it as so.

"i’m not saying its a racial issue but come on"
you mean: "I’m not saying its a racial issue but i am, by concentrating the whole tone of the article on ...race"
it's a fashion product. fashions change. why put anything else into it??
they turn her blonde to sell more blonde hair colour to her followers. once they've assessed the results, they'll turn her red/brown/black/whatever colour needs selling.

personally i agree that it isn't a great look, but leave the race at the door and take it for what it is - a LOOK.
otherwise it makes you look obsessed and diminishes your argument when confronting real issues - and there are plenty - of discrimination in fashion.

and by the way, who are you to say what does and doesn't make a REAL black woman?? unless of course we're talking about racial stereotypes with which we can label people and therefore think better/worse of them without the need for rational thought.

I would assume that they selected her as one of their spokespersons based upon the way she already looked, obviously not.

That is really an odd depiction of her, from the hair to the facial features. It might not be as shocking if it improved her looks...this is not a good look.

I wounder if she has any control over the final photos of herself. If she does, that says something too.
