Michelle Obama Named ‘Commander-in-Sheath’ on Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed List

Posted by Juan

M.O. knows how to step out.

Michelle Obama

What up Nation…Welcome to the work week.  So I was reading this morning that Vanity Fair magazine has released its 2008 International Best Dressed List and low and behold guess which exquisite black diva made the list, future First Lady Michelle Obama, wife of course of Barack Obama.

Vanity Fair has never been to kind to the brown lets admit it.  So it comes as a slight suprise that M.O. who the magazine’s editors are affectionately caling their “commander-in-sheath” would be considered for Best Dressed in a highly pale dominated list.

Her inclusion was justified by cited standout ensembles like the Maria Pinto purple sheath, with a black Azzedine Alaïa belt she adorned when Barack claimed the presumptive nomination.  They also like her Donna Ricco black-and-white print dress from her recent appearance on “The View.”

So although we focus on the man and his cool factor, we must always remember beside every cool cat is a very well dressed woman.
