Does it ever seem to you like the life and presidential campaign of Barack Obama has been made into a epic saga, a made for TV movie, perhaps a comic book?  Well a San Diego publisher, IDW publishing is LITERALLY about to release comic books based on the life stories of presidential hopefulls Barack Obama and John McCain.  The books which are said to be factually based and don’t portray the candidates in a fantasy light.

“We’re not doing anything that is sensational here,” IDW special projects editor Scott Dunbier said, adding that neither campaign had anything to do with the projects. “We’re sticking to the facts.”

The Obama’s bio-comic is being penned by novelist Jeff Mariotte (Superman, Spider-Man, Star Trek), and drawn by artist Tom Morgan while J. Scott Campbell illustrated both covers which as you see features the candidate their superhero b-boy stance complete with the patriotic American Flag.

Look for the books online, via cell phones and in comic book shops beginning Oct. 8.

One Response to San Diego Publisher Biographies Barack Obama & John McCain in 2 New Comic Books

  1. WTF? Barack isn’t even wearing a lapel pin! Seriously, I think this kinda thing is cool though I’m not sure who the demographic for them is. Adults wont buy them and kids wouldn’t want them. I think it’d be nice if they were given out to kids in school though.
