Yesterday we profiled the introduction of a very “curious” energy drink simply called Pussy.  The energy and health beverage industry has exploded in recent years as the public has moved away from soft drinks and to what they believe are healthier beverages.  In effort to tap into that industry and further expand his business empire, Nelly has acquired part ownership in ZizZazz Explosive Energy Mix.

Nelly, has been busy over the last few weeks.  He was recently announced as the new spokesmodel for Sean John new underwear line and yesterday Dos Un gave you a first look at Nelly’s new album cover which is currently entitled Brass Knuckles.

“I’m excited to partner with ZizZazz — the drink mix helps my energy stay high during rehearsals and performances as I gear up for the release of ‘Brass Knuckles,’” said Nelly. “I didn’t want to just endorse it; I wanted to be part of the growth of the company.

Nelly will be doing just that.  He is scheduled to be the face of ZizZazz, appearing in national television commercials, radio spots and special appearances to promote the brand.

“ZizZazz is a product that definitely fits my lifestyle — I can throw a few in my bag, grab a bottle of water and I’m set.”

What else you throwing in that bag Nelly?! With all the explosion of buzz, we’ve been taking note of his physical transformation (pause.)  We’ve been joking around about his steroid use but it begs the questions, what exactly is in this “ZizZazz.”

Well according to the press release the drink contains less than 1g of sugar, 20 calories per stick.  Yes I said stick.  The drink which comes in mix format is said to set itself apart by coming in a portable single-serving stick and has “no crash that consumers experience from most other energy drinks.” ZizZazz also features vitamins A, B1, B3, B5, B12, C and E, as well as ginseng, green tea extracts and rhodiola rosea.  No roids…I’m still not 100% convinced.
