Girl Gets Beat Up For “Obama is My Slave” T-Shirt
I don’t condone violence but sometimes I understand it
Last Week a 25yr. old Manhattan woman was assualted in Union Square when 4 African -American women allegedly attacked her over her T-Shirt that read “Obama is My Slave”. Now this Manhattanite is suing shirt designer Apollo Braun claiming that his $69 T-Shirt caused the attack, of course Braun disagrees. My question is: Why would this white woman feel like its ok to wear a shirt in NYC of all places that reads “Obama is My Slave”? And why would a Jewish guy think it’s ok to make these and sell them at $69 a pop. Braun explains his rationale behind the design“For a lot of people, when they see Obama, they see a slave. People think America is not ready for a black president,” explaining that this is the view of “ordinary WASPS” in America.
This isn’t Brauns first exploitation of the democratic presidential nominee. He’s made other offensive Obama shirts that read: “Jews Against Obama,” “Obama = Hitler” and “Who Killed Obama?”- which is his most popular. Braun admits that he can’t stand Obama, but not because he’s black “That’s the only thing I like about him. He opens the door for other minorities.”
“He reminds me of Adolf Hitler,” he also says he doesn’t like Obama cause he’s Muslim.
At this point I’m convinced Obama will be our next President and he’s going to have to get used to this type of ignorance and exploitation. The Presidency is the most revered positition in the world, but I could already see the bar of respect is going to be lowered once President Obama takes his seat in the White House. (Game Blouses)

Great post. I’m not sure if i’m more outraged by the t-shirt or the lawsuit. Perhaps the most sane part of the incident is the beat down.

By a person wearing a shirt like that one, and even more so, a person creating it demonstrates that there are still so many ignorant people. What is even more disgusting is the guy who created it is Jewish, you would think he would have some empathy when it comes to the cruel actions and punishment, from one race over another. Slavery is nothing to take lightly, and so many people are still in the bonds of slavery today…if “his” people were still in concentration camps it would be appalling if he poked fun of it, yet he thinks it is acceptable to poke fun at slavery. This guy is sick and disgusting, and obviously wants to make money off past sufferings.

I guess no more freedom of speech, huh. Man, you just cant say nothing anymore without being tagged as a racist or attacked, what a joke our society has become. We have more violence know than ever before, but youre not allowed to say certain words? They should make a shirt that says Obama the new Hitler! F that guy and anyone else that kisses his ass!

Perhaps attacking people who would consciously choose to wear something like that is not the ideal reaction, but it’s understandable.

Obama is a minor player. He is a pampered white boy who married a real sister to get his foot in the political door. Here in Chicago he failed to help anybody in the neihborhoods that supported him. When was the last time he came back here? 40 people were shot on those blocks last week. This bitch deserved a beat down for paying $69 dollars for that weak ass shirt.
I just think it’s awesome that a Jewish guy is selling T-shirts for $69, and that there’s someone out there that will pay that much for them. I’m a gold buyer in Kansas City and can’t get paid like that!
