Dissecting An Album Cover: Gym Class Heroes’ The Quilt

Posted by Mike "Evorgleb" Belgrove

Not exactly what I think of when I think of “hip hop”

Gym Class Heroes aren’t exactly what people would call a typical hip hop group and this is certainly not a typical cover. Above is the cover for Gym Class Heroes new album The Quilt. What’s the deal with the guy giving the little girl pill and her holding the cover over her head?. Any ideas?

It’s a little boy. And the quilt is like a safety blanket and this big bad evil mofo is all up in his grill trying to temp him with drugs, and ladies. and he’s scared.
