UPDATE: Verizon Wireless Pulls The Rug Out From Under ‘TechNigga’ Video Blog
Civil Rights leader, Najee Ali and others force wireless provider’s hand
Well we reported it yesterday and now amidst public outcry, Verizon Wireless has pulled out of its distribution deal with Loren Feldman and his 1938 Media which is responsible for the video blog, “TechNigga.”
A coalition led by Najee Ali of Project Islamic Hope and Paul Porter of Industry Ears threatened to demonstrate at a series of Verizon Wireless locations in effort to draw attention to the offensive video blog and to pressure the cellular provider to dissolve its distribution relationship.
In fear of creating a public relations nightmare Verizon announced the “clips from 1938 media were moved off our service (yesterday) morning” satisfying the concerns of Ali and the coalition. In a statement, Ali stated:
“This was another important victory for consumers and Black leadership. We salute Verizon for listening to the concerns of our community and their customers by refusing to be a corporate partner and supporter of Loren Feldman, president of 1938 Media. We feel that his site and content espoused racism and bigotry. He is best known for the racist online skit called Technigga. That type of racist material and association obviously was not suitable for Verizon or its customers.”

I got to see one of this guy’s video vlogs and it was really not funny at all. he tries to blog like he’s black but instead comes across like a geeky white boy trying to sound black. not entertaining at all.
I wish I could find good posts like yours more often. It was a pleasure to read.
