BUSINESS MATTERS: Gaming Giants Activision and Vivendi to Join forces
This is Big in the Gaming World.
THR.com is reporting that Activision will approve a merger with Vivendi Games which will create a new leader in the gaming industry. The new company dubbed Activision Blizzard would be worth roughly 19 billion, While current king of the hill EA is worth approximately 15billion.
This move will bring together some of gamings hottest franchises right now such as Vivendi’s “?World of Warcraft” and Activisions Guitar Hero. This also gives Activision the ability to tap into Asian markets where Vivendi already has presence and take titles such as “The Bourne Series” to new heights. Analysts are quoted as saying this creates the first global gaming company with reach in the U.S. , Asia, and Europe,
