Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Kanye West’s team has suggested undergo anger management counseling in effort to endear himself to corporate America and open himself up to sponsorship opportunities.  lasses to become more attractive to potential advertisers.

“The entertainer’s own management team dreamed up the idea,” said Sun-Times reporter Bill Zwecker.  “For two reasons: to help his personal psychological well-being and relationship with friends - and to aid him in snaring lucrative endorsement deals.”

Apparently a cosmetics/fragrance and automotive manufacturer are interested in signing West to endorse their products but are reluctant given his history of being unapproachable. According to Zwecker’s source, Kanye not only has “estranged himself from some pretty important people in the music business, but his temper has driven away a number of longtime friends.”

I think Kanye’s episodes are a little more than can be solved in a couple of sessions in Anger Management.  I’m not doctor but he clearly displays a skewed sense of self and publicaly has demonstrated manic behavior.  Its unfortunate because he’s a very talented person and I admired his spunk and confidence but perhaps those qualities which have clearly become more concentrated over the years are a symptom of something far larger.  Get well kid.
