Present/ Former Employees File Class Action Suit On Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club
Back on the hot seat
Twenty former and present servers, bartenders and workers for the Jay-Z owned 40/40 club in Manhattan have filed a a class action lawsuit accusing its owners of forcing them to work for tips only, refusing overtime, forcing them to pay for breaks, spill and “walkouts.”
The New York Daily News is reporting that under the “class action” which was certified on Tuesday in Manhattan Federal Court, hundreds of former 40/40 employees could be eligible to collect if the current workers’ win the trial.
