Al Gore Endorses Barack Obama. Is He Still The Most Popular Democrat?
Former Vice President, presidential popular vote and Nobel Peace Prize Winner cast his endorsement
Perhaps the most popular democrat on the planet has emerged. No I’m NOT talking about Barack Obama. I’m referring to Former Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore. Today he formally endorsed fellow Democrat and Presidential Hopeful, Barack Obama and will appear in an Obama support rally tonight in Detroit. Gore, as one might have expected, withheld his endorsement until now due in large part to his allegiance to the Clinton clan.
In a letter to be e-mailed to Obama supporters, Gore says he will do whatever he can to help him get to the White House and also asks for donations to help fund Obama’s campaign marking the first time Gore has asked his supporters to contribute to a political campaign.

Im surprised Gore even bothered. That guy has risen so far above politics. He now has a Pulitzer an Emmy and a Grammy. He has profited a great deal from his investments in tech star up up and he sits on the board of some major companies (ie Apple). All the while he is still touring around the world showing that freaking slide show on climate change.
Itd be easy to beleive that politics would be the last thing on his mind.
Once bitten by the big malicious dog of politics, I think it’s hard for the convicted politician to totally give it up.
Politics is his greatest asset when moving his environmental agenda.
How else will he get his own agenda pushed through Washington politics if he doesn’t get in with someone who will be the big man on campus?
