A 16 year old boy charged with plotting a Columbine-like massacre at his Indiana high school wrote that he wanted to “break the current shooting record” and could “kill anyone without feeling sorry because society sucks!!!”

The boy’s intentions were exposed when a spiral notebook was seized from his school locker in April. According to his manifesto, he and a friend selected September 11 for his targetted attack date “because its already iconic.”

According to the report, the boy actually conspired with Lee Billi, a 33 year old Ohio man via of all places MYSPACE! The two allegedly spoke in code and substituted “parties” when referring to attacks, and “party favors” when referring to guns and bombs.

Police investigated and later arrested the boy after he referring to Columbine gunmen Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris as “martyrs,” on a school MySpace page and wrote that he wished that a school attack would occur.  In addition to breaking the school record, the boy wrote that he sought “instant recognition” that a school shooting would afford him.

Although his name has been published in various reports, I have intentionally omitted it to prevent him from having his wish. And the most sickening part of the story was that in addition to murder conspiracy charges, his buddy Lee Billi was charged with child pornography after naked boys were found during a search of his computer equipment. Talk about a sad story…who knows where it could have gone.
