This week, Hip Hop pioneer, Grandmaster Flash is poised to release his new autobiography about his life. In “The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash: My Life, My Beats.” flash tells all from his unfortunate and violent family upbringing to his drug use to his developing the turntable techniques that have given rise to the modern day DJ and the soundtrack of the hip hop culture.

I haven’t read it but I’m very curious to see what Flash has to say. The New York Daily News is reporing that the book will addresses the relation ship that Flash and the Furious Five had with Sylvia Robinson, head of Sugar Hill Records.

I’m almost sure the book doesn’t but I’d be very curious to know if Flash addresses the rumors of his homosexuality. Being one if not THE most influential figures in the entire hip hop game, its rather ironic that in such a homophobic culture he’d be gay. Either way should be a good read.
