‘The Wire’ Receives 4 TCA Nominations
When’s that movie coming out?
Although arguably the best show in television history ended this past March, HBO’s “The Wire,” is still receiving critics acclaim notching four nominations in this year’s Television Critics Association Awards, tying AMC’s “Mad Men” for the most. Nominated in for best drama, program of the year, individual achievement in drama (for creator David Simon) and the TCA’s Heritage Award, where it will battle ABC’s 1977 mini-series “Roots.”
TV critics will have the opportunity to cast their votes now through Monday and the winners will be announced at the TCA Awards on July 19 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
