Banned Boondocks Episodes to Be Featured On Season 2 DVD
Cop it June 10th
If you never had the opportunity to see the banned Season 2 episodes of Aaron McGruder’s Boondocks episodes that’s OK because they WILL be included in the DVD release coming out next Tuesday. “The Hunger Strike” and “The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show” which both take aim at BET and its executives were banned from TV for their inflammatory content but made it to many blogs like Highbrid Nation via YouTube. Although BET claims they did not in anyway reach out to surpress the episodes it’s still unclear by whom they were banned.According to the L.A. Times, the DVD release will features commentary from McGruder about the infamous episodes claiming that he targeted BET because network executives, in his view, failed to elevate standards as promised by its leader Reginald Hudlin.
“I was looking for changes and improvements, and I didn’t see any,” McGruder said on the DVD. “I didn’t see them. So I said, OK, it’s fair game. It’s hard not to address it. It really was an important part of the strip.

Funny episode.
Twisted, deep, and more than a little vicious. But still – pretty darn funny.
