Kevin Garnett Drops Exclusive Kicks: Only 8 Pairs Released Per Finals Game
Each game’s shoe individually marked and will retail for $1017. Ebay will be POPPING!
Boston Celtics big man, Kevin Garnett and his shoe partner, adidas announced today the launch of a rare version of Garnett’s Signature Commander shoe. The special edition kicks commemorate the Celtics’ run at an NBA Championship. adidas will produce only EIGHT PAIRS PER GAME of this shoe to be sold starting at 10:00am on June 5, 2008.
The generic KG Commander is scheduled to launch in October 2008, but this special edition will be emplazoned with the Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy on the side, and an embroidered callout to games 1 thru 7 on broad side (similar to the rotating ad that appears on the scorers table during the playoffs.) The number of that night’s game will be in green while the others remain white. The numbers 1 thru 7 also get larger as each game grows in significance.+
The limited edition kicks will only be available at Celtics.com, the TD Banknorth Garden Pro Shop and NBA Store in New York City. Each pair will retail for $1017!!!!!!! According to the press release, All profits from the sale of these shoes will go to NBA Cares community partners in the Boston area.
Something tells me Lexicon167 is already in line waiting. Yo this is bananas…that means as few as 28 pairs or as many as 56 pairs (depending on the number of game the Finals run) will be copped ACROSS THE GLOBE. Talk about limited edition.

other than his image their biscuits
lol…They’re expensive biscuits though. I’m thinking of the Ebay flip game being real serious.
These are too expensive for my blood
DAMN!!!
