Alas the race for the Democratic Nomination for President will come to and end tonight in Minnesota when Sen. Barack Obama is expected to claim enough delegates to put him over the top.  However even its culmination will not be without the controversy that has riddled the race that preceded it.

As a result of the hotly contested nomination race, the Democratic party has been severely divided along racial lines and to have any chance of winning the presidency Obama will need the support of ALL Democrats including those that favored Hillary Clinton but he’ll have to pay for that support…literally.  Like anything else this election will boil down to the mighty dollar.  

According to the UK’s Telegraph, as a major stipulation for her withdrawal, the Clinton Camp has demanded that the Illinios senator to help payoff Clinton’s campaign debt (estimated to be between $20 and $40 million dollars.) “It’s not about the vice-presidency or any other position she might get. It’s about the money – in particular the Clinton family money,” a source close to a Clinton donor told the newspaper.

In addition to the money, Clinton wants Obama to a$$ist black officials who endorsed her in districts where the constituency overwhelmingly voted for him.  As a result of the heat they faced over their Clinton allegiances,  many of those officials are now faced with primary challenges by heavily supported pro-Obama politicians.

Sound like a bribe?  That’s because it is…its just called something else.  She said eff the vice presidency…PAY ME!
