Fashion Icon Yves Saint Laurent Dies at Age 71

Yves Saint Laurent fashion icon has died at age 71. YSL was founded in 1961 after Laurent worked for Christian Dior for a few years. Yves Saint Laurent is credited with revolutionizing the fashion industry by creating pants designs for women which was unheard of at the time. “My small job as a couturier is to make clothes that reflect our times. I’m convinced women want to wear pants.†He was also the first big name Clothing Line to use black models.
