‘Walmart Scorpians’
…and I dont mean that old EVE…
On Sunday, 12 year-old Megan Templeton was stung at a Wal-Mart in Barboursville, West Virginia while picking a seedless watermelon from a bin. The culprit, an inch long tan scorpion that hitched a ride in a shipment from Mexico. The father, William Templeton, did not believe Megan when she alerted that a scorpion of all things had stung her. Until he noticed the arachnid scurry underneath a box, yet despite that effort the scorpian was still captured by Wal-Mart employees.
After Megan was taken to the hospital to be on the safe side, she was later released with an injury & pain that’s said to be a little worse than a bee sting.
Crazy, makes me think twice before pickin up a box. At least she didnt find it in a REESE’S cup or something.
