Sydney Pollack dies of cancer
…July 1, 1934-May 25, 2008
Sydney Pollack died at age 73, at his Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, California surrounded by family, Monday afternoon. His death comes from a battle with cancer he as diagnosed with 9 months ago.
The Academy Award Winning director’s recent producing credits include “The Talented Mr. Ripley” and “Cold Mountain.” His last silver screen appearance was in “Made of Honor,” and in 2007, he appeared opposite George Clooney in Michael Clayton, a film which he also co-produced.
