‘Harry Potter’ actor stabbed to death

Early Saturday morning, 18 year old Rob Knox(Right), was stabbed to death during a bar fight in southwest London, a suburb of Sidcup. Reports say Knox was stabbed while tryin to defend his brother, Jamie(seen on the left of photo), when an unidentified man showed up waving his knife around in the window. And accusations about a stolen cell phone arose.

The brothers’ friends Tom Hopkins, 18, and Tarik Ozress, 17, managed to pin the armed man down, wrestling with him for several minutes before police arrived. The 21-year old suspect was arrested on suspicion of the stabbing death.

Hopkins, who was stabbed in the head, said: “Rob was just trying to help out. He was like that. I grabbed the knife, I didn’t know at the time that he had another knife. It was just chaos.”

Knox was one of five teens who were also wounded an taken to various hospitals. Rob was then pronounced dead.

Young Knox plays “Marcus Belby”, a “Ravenclaw” student, in the sixth movie in the Harry Potter series “Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince.” Set to release November ’08.’

Warner Bros quoted saying: “We are all shocked and saddened by this news and at this time our sympathies are with his family.”

This after only a few days from filming his part in the new movie. Making this the 14th among violent teenage deaths in London in 2008 thus far.

So young man…too young.
