Nas’ “Nigger” Might Be The Best Album You’ll Never Hear

Posted by Juan

From J.D. to MF Doom, Nas’ taboo project to feature some of Nas’ signature concepts with legendary underground cameos.

Nigger Album

At this point I would say we have about the same chance of having Hillary Clinton as President as we do of Nas‘ “Nigger” ever making it to stores. But much like Clinton, those odds aren’t stopping Nas from promoting it. The latest street date is July 1 but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

“Everything that’s happening every day. I can’t really turn an album in when, like, next week it will be something else that will come to light and make me want to write about something,” Nas said in a recent interview with MTV when asked about his Nigger inspiration. “It’s hard to finally wrap it up, but I finally got there. I’m finally there now…This year looks like it’s going to be amazing.”

So what’s on the mystery album? Well the concepts actually sound rather interesting. Nas’ got a track called “Project Roach” where he pens from the prospective of a cockroach? I think his wife and her drug cabinet might be wearing off on him. There’s also a track called “Y’all My Niggers” where Nas schools us on HIS history of the word “nigger.”

The folks over at UGHH.com have got me really amped about this project with some of the rumored cameos including Rick Ross, the LOX, and Dead Prez and underground legends Jay Electronica and MF DOOM who might drop a verse, a track or both. Speaking of production, rumored to be on the sticks are Jermaine Dupri, Stic.Man of Dead Prez, Stargate, Miami’s DJ Khaled, and DJ Toomp, Polow Da Don, Salaam Remi and Big Jack.

It’s always a good thing when Nas takes long to release an album, it means he is working hard on it and Im sure its gonna be a great one…
And we’ve been only waiting for a year and a half…i think we can wait a lil longer….
