BUSINESS MATTERS: Microsoft’s XBOX 360 To Become Official Sponsor of H3 & Hip Hop Soda Shops
Good Move for Microsoft to tap the Hip Hop gaming community…Better move for Chavis.
Dr. Benjamin Chavis, CEO of the self-proclaimed first Hip Hop company on Wall street, H3 Enterprises, Inc.’s joined Mike Fischer, General Manager of Microsoft’s Xbox Marketing today on FOX Business Network’s “Money for Breakfast” to announce that Xbox 360 has become an Official Sponsor of H3 Enterprises’ HipHopSodaShop.
The particulars are rather convoluted and quite frankly a little boring…but you can watch that Fox interview here if you’re so inclined. Just know that this is big for Dr. Chavis and his Hip Hop Soda Shop franchise. H3′s marketing model centers around trying to tap into the huge gaming industry and somehow bridge it to the Hip Hop community which has only partially embraced the video gaming phenomenon.
As many of us grew up appreciating the Madden franchise only a portion of Hip Hop’s gamers really relate to the more diverse gaming genres like first person shooter style titles. Chavis’ Hip Hop Soda Shops attempt to create an hip environment and this partnership will go along way toward making gaming in all forms cool for the Hip Hop gamer.

Good deal. I don’t want to see any tobacco or liquor sponsors coming soon.
