Damn I Feel Sorry For Lil Mama
only 19K sold! makes the title kinda funny
Welp, the numbers have been in for a sec. and Lil Mama didn’t do as well as I thought she was gonna do. Gotta remember what era it is right now. Alot of people are floppin to the tune of these same #’s. Don’t know what really happened here though. Anyone care to speculate?

Still those are really low numbers. Even if you wanted to cop the album on illegal downloading, you can’t find it from what I hear.

Well I think in Lil Mama’s case her label failed to get her album out while the Lip Gloss cut was still hot. The album came waaay later and there was no strong follow up single. Thus when people were actually checking for the album, it wasn’t available.

Wow! that’s really low! She is still a nice mc though. She just needs to drop her label, or get lil wayne on her next single. Ya’ll know wayne = money!!!!!

She had two top 10 hits off that album and has made herself a household name. Look at the charts people, find a “new” act that’s actually gone gold! Very few, if any can lay claim to that. However, She’s touring, her price is still on the rise for features on other tracks, she just finished a host gig on a show and has a few endorsements as well. So Don’t feel bad for mama, feel bad for her record lable for not capitalizing properly off the momentum that she generated. Mama herself, will be just fine….
my daughter just showed me her vid…not sure which lp it was from..she was the voice of youth..wait i think it was called L.I.F.E., and that vid made me want to cop the lp. she played a foster kid, a pregnant abused girl etc-real tight vid.
and that vid was much better than lip gloss. she has some skills…and she can always bounce back…this is nothing. she’ll be fine.
