What up Nation? I just wanted to touch base with all of our reader and let them know what’s going on.

First and foremost let me talk about the “Fat Back Awards”. When the guys at Highbrid first started to create content for Highbrid Nation we saw our audience as being people like us, “Young Professional Urban Males”. One of the more popular features that arose from that thinking was the “Fat Back Award” which is a feature that shows off pin up models that are a bit more banging in the back yard area (something any “young professional urban male” would enjoy, lol). Now as our readership grew we started to have more and more female readers showing up up who were enjoying many of the other features of the site. Some of those females found the “Fat Back Award” posts to be offensive and rightfully so. Besides the females who were offended it created a situation where some people felt HN was “Not Safe For Work”. So as Content Editor of the site, that created a unique problem for me. On one hand Marcus Holmes had created the Fat Back Awards and they had become very popular amongst certain readers. On the other hand that same content was seriously turning off other readers and making it so other people were weary about viewing our site at their jobs. So here’s my solution, we will no longer be showing Fat Back Award pictures on our front page. Those posts will be represented by a graphic logo and those who enjoy that content will just have to click through to see all the apple bottomed women in all their glory. Thus no one will have to see the more provocative content of HN unless they choose to. Hopefully this will keep all of our readers happy.

The other thing I’ve wanted to address is our Amazon H Store. Highbrid Nation is using Amazon to connect our readers with products that they may find useful or that the HN blogger endorses. You’ll be able to visit our store through a link in the “Sections” area usually found on the left hand side of the page. We will be developing the “H Store” and it will have tons of great stuff wit endorsements from HN bloggers. You’ll also notice certain posts on the site will have product endorsements. These are products that the writer of the articles personally feels are worth you checking out. So keep an eye out for that.
