On last night’s episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” Dr. Burke, the character played by the embattled Isaiah Washington made a comeback…unbeknown to Washington however.  The actor’s face is pictured in a newspaper clipping and became a major topic of the episode.

So what does Washington think about the pictorial cameo?  Well according to TMZ.com, Washington didn’t appreciate the producer’s decision to use a picture of him on the program since they had a hand in his controversial firing last June after he made discriminatory remarks he made toward a fellow cast member who is gay.

Isaiah’s rep, Howard Bragman, tells TMZ.com: “Isaiah has no plans to go back to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ … That being said, we were more than a little surprised that ABC used his likeness in a promo for the show, and indeed advanced his character’s storyline. Mr. Washington’s attorney has contacted the Screen Actors Guild and ABC as to the appropriateness of that action.”

Grey’s Anatomy, although it skews very female is a guilty pleasure of mine.  I was actually scratching my head when I saw Washington’s likeness being used as well.  I wondered if the show’s creators had reconciled with him and planned to somehow bring his character back.  I think TMZ quickly deaded any such rumor or hope.
