Doooh! I Missed A Huge Chance to Break the Mariah Carey/ Nick Cannon Wedding Story

I missed the signs back in February that Mariah was planning a wedding

Yesterday, Dos Un brought you a First Look at the cover of People Magazine in which the photos of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s Bahamian wedding premiered. That got me to thinking…hmmmm. Did we at Highbrid Nation miss a very obvious hint that perhaps Mariah was planning a wedding?

Those of you loyalist out there might remember a February 28th story I wrote called “CRIBS: Mariah Carey Cops $4.9 Million Spot in the Bahamas.” In it, I reported that paparazzi had been spotting her wandering the Bahamas aimlessly. Later we learned that sheâ€™s bought herself a $4.9 Million sprawling mansion on Windermere Island. Strange behavior has never been anything new for Mariah so we didn’t think much of it at the time but that “wandering” was in fact orchestrated planning and running of errands in anticipation of her nuptials. We missed a chance of a lifetime to break a huuuuuge story.

Looks like we weren’t the only ones however. A few weeks ago when Mariah was on the “The Oprah Winfrey Show” the TV host recalled missing a huge hint that Carey and Nick might get hitched.

Winfrey said during her on Camera interview with Carey she noticed her sporting a “Mrs. Cannon” tattoo. Winfrey said that after the show, Mariah introduced her to Cannon backstage, stating, “Have you said hi to Nick?” Oprah responded, “Hi Nick” and kept it moving never giving it another thought.
