Def Jam launches New WAP Site Platform

Not much utility but could be an important ringtone point of purchase tool

Now you can get all the Mariah you want sent right to your mobile phone

Island Def Jam and netomat, Inc. a provider of mobile content announced yesterday the launch of their new Mobile WAP portal.Â Fans can now access latest news, photos and tour information for straight to their mobile phone’s Internet browser by visiting www.idjmobile.com.

I’m not really sure if there is tremendous utility with this but ok.Â I did browse the very limited site and although the info is extremely weak I’m guessing the objective is to push their ringtones heavy.Â If they can get mobile users to impulsively purchase ringtones I’m guessing the project is a success.
