Common Get Casted In Terminator 4

Posted by Mike "Evorgleb" Belgrove

Common is popping up in everything these days.

Common is going at the acting thing hard. The Chi-Town native has recently showed up in Street Kings, Wanted and American Gangster just to name a few. And right before the film got deaded he was in line to play the Green Lantern in a Justice League movie. So what’s up next for Common? Terminator 4 which is officially called Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. However don’t expect Common to play a soft spoken, slightly feminine cyborg that likes seems to blink way more than a normal person. He has been cast to play John Connor’s (played by Christian Bale) fellow freedom fighter.

I’m not exactly sold on the new Terminator movie they are making and Common doesn’t really sell me on the movie any. From what I understand the movie will take place in a separate time line than the current TV show and they have dropped the previous ‘R’ rating of the previous films in favor of a more family friendly PG-13. As of now, count me out.

I am a huge fan of the Terminator movies. But this thing just seems like its falling apart. You know, Common has been good in the movies and character he has been cast as and I am sure he will bring the same thing to Terminator. I think Christian Bale is a great actor but I think he will give weak sauce performance in this. The weak link in the production of this film is the Director McG. He should at least fight to keep an “R” Rating.

I would have to agree with you on that Mike. PG-13 makes it seem like they are trying too hard to go for the $$$ instead of keeping it hardcore like the previous (especially first 2) Terminator flicks.

Sorry bub…Common can’t act. I saw him in the new movie Street Kings…uhhhh “he didn’t make it.” I feel asleep after 10 minutes of Smoking Aces but that’s not his fault.

The movie does indeed sound like it sucks already. But I’ll check it out, Common is worth the view.

Speaking of which…is his girlfriend focused on some Tennis Shelia?

Dude, about the PG-13 thing
we have to admit.
Most PG-13 movies these days act like they’re rated R
and Rated R movies are pushing the envelope and acting like they’re NC-17

Most comedy movies now are showing penis and (Walk Hard, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Harold and Kumar 2)

So the lines have been blurred.

Ya never know… a PG-13 Terminator movie might still end up just as violent and awesome as its rated R predecessors.

And yes, I do believe that the reason they’re going with a PG-13 rating is to get more dough.
