Lil’ “Lollipop” Wayne Cast in upcoming film “The Patriots.”
Acting? He’s not even convincing on the mic, how am I believing him on the big screen?
Tim Story’s upcoming film “The Patriots” is the inspirational true story adaptation featuring Academy Award winner, Forest Whitaker as a high school basketball coach who fields of players hailing from five different schools that were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
Lil’ Wayne has been cast as to play the character Lamont, a student from Al Collins High School who is a skeptical of his teamates.
The Weinstein Co. flick which began filming in New Orleans this week is sure to flop if Weezie manages to squeeze out significant burn. I get the whole New Orleans connection. I GET IT! But can you actually look at the screen and see the character he’s trying to portray or are you going to see Young Weezy in a really long music video. I had actually heard about the story of the man Whitaker is portraying and was looking forward to the film. This however really puts a damper on those plans. We’ll see how it plays out.
