Jay-Z Steps Up In HUGE way – Creates Trust Funds For Sean Bell’s Kids

Posted by C-Hyphen

Respect to all the Sean Bell tributes in song…but Jay-Z shows actions speak louder than words

Jay-Z

Brooklyn Hip Hop icon, Jay-Z, has stepped up in a major way. In the aftermath of the shameful and disgrace of the Sean Bell trial outcome, Hip Hop has lead the way in giving a voice to the outrage felt my those who were emotionally invested to this tragedy and case.

We’ve had songs contributed by Papoose – “We Shall Overcome,” Joell Ortiz – “50 Shots (Stream of Consciousness),” Grafh – “Not Guilty (The People’s Verdict),” and even The Game – “911 Is A Joke (Cop Killa)” and there are more from lesser known rappers.

In a move that definitely trumps those all (not discrediting the songs) will have to be Shawn Carter b/k/a Jay-Z establishing educational trust funds for both of Sean Bell’s daughters ensuring that their future remains bright.

Apparently the process for the trust funds began prior to the trial and not guilty verdict for three police officers accused of slaying Sean Bell. Now that the trial is over, Jay-Z has resumed efforts for the children of Sean Bell in the form of a stock-based trust fund.

Nichole Paultre-Bell

Sean Bell’s widow, Nicole Paultre-Bell, already has an established relationship and dialog with Jay-Z when the rapper reached out to her to appear prominently in Jay-Z’s Rocawear “I Will Not Lose” advertising campaign.
