UPDATED: Phony YouTube Video Depicting Clinton Adviser Making Disparaging Remarks
My Bad!
The argument against bloggers and blogging has been that we recklessly report news and information that is unsourced and baseless and then accept no responsibility for correcting the story. I’m guilty of the former but I’ll take the righteous road and apologize for misleading you.
This morning, for those of you just waking up on the Nation, I posted a video of former Bill Clinton Campaign Chairman and current Hillary Clinton ‘08 Advisor, Mickey Kantor talking talking really reckless to George Stephanapoulos and James Carville. I won’t go into what was said because the video was proved to be false.
Malcolm up in Detroit (Highbrid Nation Since 2008) who first alerted me about the video along with several citizens of the Nation informed me that there may have been some doctoring to the video. After some further investigation and seeing the video’s publisher moved their account to Private, we also have retracted the post.
The question now becomes why was the video posted in the first place. The video clip actually comes from a 1992 Documentary following the Bill Clinton campaign called “The War Room.” Shout to Jusume (Highbrid Nation since 2008) who sent us this link to the original video.
The phony video which popped up on YouTube is curious. Malcolm speculated that the video could have been a tactic used by the Clinton campaign to disprove an easily non-credible rumor. In doing so it makes voters feel sorry for her and more inclined to support her financially and at the polls. In a close election where every vote counts this could mean the difference. On the flip side this could have been a tactic used by wacked-out Obama supporter who may have been incensed by the Rev. Wright backlash and chose to execute this stunt which may ultimately back fire. If it gets that far the Clinton campaign will no doubt push this over as a direct order from the Senator himself. I tried to find out who the original YouTube publisher was however after the video was retracted the account was set to private which is curious enough in itself.

It’s nearly on the top of Drudge, but so far not a peep from CNN, MSNBC or Fox.
As much as I try to be a “live and let live” sort of guy, I have to confess the following secret desire…
I hope this video is the only thing you see on TV for the next week, I hope they roll it up into a tight little ball, and shove it down the throat of the Clinton campaign.
It’s the same old dark-hearted story. In public, it’s all “we care for you and your needs”. In private, it’s the same old dirty soul.
And in answer to your question… I think there’s enough offense to go around.

When it comes to politics that past can haunt you. People don’t care when stuff happens. The fact that it happen and that person is in your company is what really matters. But then again, we are talking about Hillary. They may sweep this one under the rug.

Sorry to the nation for noticing the fake video in the first place.
I’m sure we’ll probably never find out who posted it in the first place, or which side they were on.
I know my “clinton did it as a false flag” theory sounds a bit paranoid. But I’ve seen worse. Heck, I’ve DONE worse before
So, I’m betting it’s going to be one of the following:
1. A Clinton supporter who did it to get sympathy when it was proven fake.
2. A Clinton supporter who did it in the hopes that the Obama campaign would come out quick attacking it, only to look stupid when it was proven fake (thankfully Obama’s camp was silent during the whole ordeal)
3. An Obama supporter who hoped to get away with it at least until Tueday night (primary night).
4. An undecided voter who just likes making trouble
And… just to show that I’m not totally paranoid, and that people actually DO think this way sometimes, I direct you to an episode of the show West Wing titled “The Black Vera Wang”, where something similar to #2 was done.
How is it fake? You see the guys lips move and hear him say “Those people are Sh*t”.. how’s that

Fake, the video is part of a documentary HONORING Clinton. I’m sure Mickey knew the cameras were following him if it was part of an ongoing 10 part series documentary. So for him to say something disparaging makes no sense. We’ve analyized the audio frame by frame and it’s clear that new audio was layered on top of the original.
You’re obviously a Republican. Are you aware that Highbrid Nation endorsed McCain as its republican nominee? Perhaps you missed it. Check it out.

I found the original video this came from (a clip from the movie “War Room”.
I watched the whole thing and boosted the sound at the appropriate spot. I’m not sure of what he did say, but I could hear enough to know that he’s not using that word.
As far as the sh*t comment, it was election night, and he was saying (of the bush1 white house) “they’re probabally sh*tting”
I was the first to grab the pitchfork and torch on this, but facts are facts, and the vid is a fake
