Barbara Walters Tells Oprah She Committed Adultry With A Black Senator in the 70′s
ABC’s longtime anchor will share her sustained affair with U.S. Senator Edward Brooke on Oprah
And I thought Barbara Walters couldn’t keep a secret. After 3 decades, the ABC talky is disclosing that she had a sustained affair with married BLACK MAN, U.S. Senator Edward Brooke, whom she decribes as “exciting” and “brilliant.”
SIDENOTE: I’m not really sure what she’s referring to here. If she’s talking sexual…wouldn’t the “brilliant” imply he gave her good head? Just my thought…Ok back to the story.
Walters will appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” scheduled to air on Tuesday where she reportedly will share the details of her relationship with Brooke that lasted several years in the 1970s, according to the Associated Press. According to the report they kept the affair which ended in 1978 on the hush because in it have spelled undoubtedly certain ruin for both their careers especially in that era.
Brooke (Rep) from Massachusetts was the first African-American to be (popularly) elected to the Senate.
At the time, Walters was a two-time divocee and had gotten her big break as co-host of NBC’s “Today” show.
Walters will be on Oprah to discuss her new memoir “Audition,” in which covers her career as her off-camera life, including her now public jumpoff.
