Seems like somebody wants him off the air bad.

Bill Maher, who HN readers may know from his adventures with Superhead, has been around for quite some time. His show on HBO, has been rather popular for years. He’s one of those guys that uses comedy to say what he see as the harsh truth. Seems like he’s gone to far now.

Bill has thoroughly pissed off many Catholics with his comments about Pope Benedict XVI during the Pope’s recent US visit. Most of the outrage stems from Bill saying the Pope was a Nazi. Now that may seem like something that is obviously not true but seems to be a theme that pops up from time to time based on the Pope’s age and his German heritage. Bill is not the first to say it.

Recently FireBillMaher.com launched with the goal of, you guessed it, having HBO fire Bill Maher. Good luck with that.

The Pope is a Nazi thing does have truth to it if you do your research. Real time is one of the best programs on television and aint going nowhere thats a waste of a domain name

The pope was a member of the Hitler Youth. That is a fact. They were Nazis, although quite young, but that is a fact.To say the pope is a Nazi is more true than saying the pope was not a Nazi. Facts sometimes get in the way of religious fantasy. He also did his best to help cover up pedophelia, and has yet to be honest about the amount of gay sex in the priesthood.

Wow Mike, do you not use spell check or check your grammar? No wonder you managed 1746 posts! Not only is there little thought in the post, you ignore the most glaring factor- Pope Benedict (not THE Pope Benedict) had been a member of the Hitlerjugend as a boy.

Actually my post count is so high because I work my behind off on this site. Thanks for pointing out my typo to me, though you were a dick about how you did so.

As for the Pope’s past. I’m well aware of of the connections that have been made between him and the Nazi party while he was a youth but honestly I don’t have much opinion on it and would rather not create a debate over the details of that. My post was about Bill Maher (who my readers know) and the fact that someone created a site to get him fired and that’s it. Now if readers want to discuss the pope’s past in the comments section, thats fine but please don’t tell me what the most important detail of my story should be
