50 Gets Gangsta on Alicia Keys

A noted fan turns the tables after Keys comments

Despite her many attempts to clarify her comments about gangsta rap Alicia Keys has landed in the dog house of “Mr. Gangsta Rap” himself, 50 Cent.

By now we’re all familiar with Alicia’s comments in Blender magazine, where she was quoted as saying, “Gangsta rap was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other.” Then recently she released a clarification stating:

“The point that I was trying to make was that the term was over-sloganized by some of the media causing reactions that were not always positive. Many of the ‘gangsta rap’ lyrics articulate the problems of the artists’ experiences and I think all of us, including our leaders, could be doing more to address these problems including drugs, gang violence, crime, and other related social issues.“

50 Cent isn’t buying it. He recently told Showbuzz that in his eyes, she’s grouped with the Oprah Winfreys of the world. “I don’t like people who don’t like me,” he told the media outlet. “That statement changes my perception of Alicia Keys totally. It’s just not really a bright comment.”

At what point did she say she didn’t like 50? Also, Alicia Keys is apart of the Hip-Hop community. How does he group her with Oprah who doesn’t care for rap music at all?

I realize each day that 50 isn’t he brightest bulb. He knows about making money, news and hits. Everything else is questionable.

Well 50 has decided that he’s all about wearing that “gangsta rap” badge so he took it personally. I don’t see this ahole thing lasting too long. You’ll hear them on a track together by mid summer.

Just more controversy is all. Keeps his name in the headlines. I don’t think he really has any true rift with the girl but if it helps sales.

50’s so corny starting beef with Alicia Keys. Almost as corny as when 112 was beefing with Jagged Edge.
If hes gonna “crossover beef”, he should go hard and go for them High School Musical Kids or Kenny Chesney.

who does he think he is ? i mean he is famous for degrading black women and influencing violence against black people and he has the nerve to talk about oprah.oprah is a true role model who has changed the perception about black women that a black woman can be a billionaire.he is insane and i dont think he has got any brain cells in his little twisted mind.alicia is a beautiful and well behaved young woman and i dont think she should take anything that airheaded “i am a stupid gangsta huh huh ” rapper whose music does not have any substance just ridiculous crap he call “gangsta rap”
