BUSINESS MATTERS: BET Buddies up Xbox LIVE to offer Full Episode Downloads
BET looks to hit up black gaming demographic

Now you can watch reruns of College Hill on your XBox. Oh Goodie!
BET Networks (Black Evil Television) today announced that it will add full-length shows for download
on Xbox LIVE’s Marketplace. Shows including reruns of College Hill 4, American Gangster, Comic View, Iron Ring and others which will be available for free download for one full week.
Currently Xbox LIVE’s Marketplace is the only game console offering downloadable movies and TV shows in high definition so by establishing a partnership BET can expand to a more diverse demographic.
I’m not a huge gamer especially not online so I don’t really see the sense in watching re-runs on my XBox even if it’s on demand. If you’re that savvy, you probably have TiVo. Another L for BET?

XBox is running on the idea that ‘on demand’ and ‘downloaded’ media is the future. None of that Blu-Ray stuff that Sony is on.
I won’t speak on BET. I don’t care for those folk.
BET just needs to start over. Maybe people would stop crapping on everything they do if they would just stop acting like “MTV with black people”
I don’t think it was that way when Bob Johnson (whose another piece of work) owned them.
