Do Want Your Music on MTV?
Well read on to find out how
MTV and Garnier Fructis have linked up to give aspiring artists a chance at the big time and have one of their songs featured in a primetime MTV show this summer. As part of the “I Want My Music on MTV”
contest, aspiring artists can go to IWantMyMusic.mtv.com, create a profile, and upload music for fans to listen to, vote on and rate.
The contest ends on April 27th so you don’t have a lot of time if you’re interested. The top 20 finalists will be announced on April 28th (I’m assuming on the site) and voting will open up to determine the final six who will be revealed on May 5th. MTV execs will have the final say and the winner will be featured on MTV as well as a commercial pod takeover during the broadcast.
Garnier Fructis will also do some silly rock-star hairstyles thingy but that’s all for branding. Remember if you’re interested you don’t have much time.
